Frame your favorite wedding photos

I love these three photographs from Tyler & Sujata's wedding last summer - they had a really unique celebration: on a weekday, they had two wedding ceremonies (a Hindu ceremony and a Lutheran ceremony) in an intimate setting with their families and wedding party. Part of the two ceremonies involved an outfit change for them- the started the day in a white dress and a suit, and then changed into traditional Nepali wedding outfits before the Hindu ceremony. A few days later, they had a beautiful outdoor Minneapolis wedding reception in a sunny park, surrounded by their community of family and friends.

With so many chapters to their wedding, they decided that it would be really meaningful for them to plan a set of three frames for their home featuring their wedding photos! You all know me and how much I love creating tangible, printed art with my couples, so this was an incredible project.

Tyler and Sujata opted for a collection of three walnut frames - trios of frames look really intentional and beautiful together. They decided to choose three portraits of them, each from a different "chapter" of their wedding day - one in their Lutheran ceremony outfits, one in their Hindu ceremony outfits, and one in the outfits they wore to their reception.

Since those three portraits were all from completely different settings, they unified the three frames by choosing photographs with a similar composition: a full-body portrait for each frame, but in a completely different space. Because they're in different poses in each of the frames, they don't look too stiff or similar, but that similar crop/composition really unites this frame collection.

What a wonderful project to create with Tyler and Sujata! I love helping my couples let their wedding pictures come alive as art like this.
